Happy 4th of July! In honor of our National Independence Celebration, we highlight Veterans Memorial Park, a place created to recognize American military veterans for their service and the sacrifices they and their families made to protect our freedoms.
This beautiful, one-of-a-kind park features five granite obelisks representing each of the five branches of military service, a large granite memorial wall, a visitor center, replica military planes and equipment, picnic shelters, and so much more. Make sure to stop out and see this beautiful memorial park for yourself! Additionally, stop by the park to see the flags placed along the walk of honor. Thanks to the volunteers who placed each flag.

Tomorrow is the Fourth of July!🎆 What better day than today to highlight one of Grand Forks’ most beautiful places, Sertoma Park? Not only is this park one of the largest parks maintained by the Park District, featuring Ali’s Boundless Playground, a Japanese garden and arboretum, biking/walking trails that connect to the Greenway, shelters and more, but is also home of the Annual Sertoma 4th of July Festival!
Stop by the park tomorrow from 11:00 am – 6:00 pm for this one-of-a-kind festival with food vendors and endless fun put on by Sertoma of Greater Grand Forks.

Honoring our heroes: The Prairie Grass Chapter of the DAR, led by Peggy Vanyo, planted flags at 1484 memorial stones for the 4th of July at Veterans Memorial Park. They also generously funded a plaque for the B-52, sharing the history of the GF AFB with the community. Stop by the park and check it out today! 🇺🇸
